Software is fallible… just ask Amazon

I bought a Tony Parsons book from Amazon a few years ago. That’s why they just emailed me to recommend a new one that’s come out. Only one problem: this one is in Braille. Thankfully, that’s not something I need at present.

Recommendations need to take into account a lot more data about the product and consumer, if mistakes like this are to be avoided. And maybe, in the end, people are the best recommenders after all, and software can’t do everything that people can.
